I got started working with wood almost twenty years ago making picture frames for my wife in our garage. I found that I really enjoyed choosing materials and crafting them to create something beautiful.
A few years later I rented some shop space in an old repurposed mill, enjoying my new hobby and expanding my abilities, making small pieces of furniture, boxes, guitars, ukuleles ... and still the occasional picture frame. I was lucky to meet and learn from a community of gifted craftspeople and artists. Fast forward to today where I'm in my own dedicated workshop on our property in upstate New York and embarking on selling my work for the first time.
While I mostly work in wood, I've also started incorporating original fabric designs into some of my work - I like the brightness and softness it brings to the pieces. I enjoy finding ways to combine just the right materials in just the right way to create beautiful pieces of functional art.
